ULTHERAPY SINGAPORE

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy is a non-invasive, FDA-approved ultrasound treatment that delivers focused ultrasound energy to heat up dermal and subdermal tissues to between 60-70°C. This triggers tightening of collagen fibres and natural collagen production. It can hence lift and tighten the skin around the eyebrows, cheeks, neck and chin, and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Results can be seen 2-3 months after treatment. There is continual improvement for up to 6 months.  Source: https://ultherapy.com/physicians/the-gold-standard/

The Ultherapy handpiece works with six different ultrasound transducers. These patented DeepSEE transducers provide visualisation and treatment at the same time. The transducers treat at three separate depths – superficial dermis at 1.5mm, deep dermis at 3mm, SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system)/platysma at 4.5mm. Tissues may be visualised with ultrasound up to a depth of 8mm.

Ultherapy FAQ

Is the Ultherapy treatment safe?

Ultrasound energy has been safely used in the medical field for more than 30 years. Ultherapy is FDA-approved and its safety has been proven in over 350 000 treatments conducted thus far.  Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?

A good candidate for Ultherapy is someone with mild to moderate skin laxity. Patients with extreme sun damage and laxity will not see as distinct results and may require more sessions for better effect. How long does one Ultherapy treatment take?

The duration of one Ultherapy session depends on the areas being treated. For example, treating the whole face and upper neck usually takes about 60-90 minutes, while the undereye region normally takes 20 minutes.  Is Ultherapy painful?

Ultherapy can be painful for some but with numbing cream, oral painkillers, distraction techniques and our doctors’ expertise, you would experience minimal discomfort for the majority of the procedure. What is the downtime for Ultherapy?

There is no downtime with Ultherapy. You may resume your normal lifestyle with no disruptions. You may also apply makeup immediately after the procedure. How many Ultherapy treatment sessions do I need?

Most patients will only need one treatment and results are expected to last up to a year. However, depending on the degree of skin laxity, the effect seen on each patient will vary. Most patients will benefit from maintenance treatments about a year later. Future treatments can help you to keep up with the ageing process.
