What are Skinboosters?
Skinboosters (水光针) are injectable stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) which are deposited in the skin via micro-injections.
Skinboosters contain:
- Hyaluronic acid
A sugar naturally produced by the body that is a powerful humectant capable of retaining over 1000 times its weight in water within your skin cells.
- Lidocaine
This is a commonly used anaesthetic that is safe and effective in reducing discomfort during injections.
As we age, our skin loses HA and collagen. This leads to dry and sagging skin as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Skinboosters hydrate the skin intensely by greatly increasing moisture levels within skin cells.

What is the Skinboosters treatment like in Singapore?
A topical numbing cream will be applied before the procedure to minimise discomfort. The Skinbooster will be delivered via micro boluses into the skin using a manual injection technique
The entire procedure takes about 20-40 minutes and is mostly comfortable with minimal pain. Oral medication and distraction devices can be employed to further improve pain control.
How many Skinboosters treatments do I need?
We recommend having 3 sessions 3-4 weeks apart with a maintenance regime of 1 session every 6-9 months subsequently.
When will I see the effects of the Skinboosters treatment?
The effects of Skinboosters start to appear about 1 week after the initial treatment, with the full effect taking about 3 months to be visible. Skinbooster effects last for about 6-12 months.

Is there any downtime for Skinboosters treatment?
After the treatment, you may notice a bit of redness and bruising in the skin which will resolve on their own. We expect 1-2 days of downtime after which you will be able to resume normal activities.
